L’Attention de la «Créature Isolée » à Partir de L’Expérience Spatiale de JÁnos Pilinszky, à Travers la « Pureté Parfaite » de Simoneweil, Jusqu’à la «Nuit Obscure » de François Mauriac

The poetry of János Pilinszky was influenced by the philosophical mysticism of Simone Weil and by the atmosphere of the novels of Francois Mauriac. Their profoundly catholic vision of the world (expressed or inexpressed) is oriented to the universe and to the union of all creatures in three different ways, albeit absolutely authentic and essentially identical. In this paper, I will try to highlight these parallelisms through some notions which are very important in the works of the three authors. I set out from the state of deep solitude and isolation of the reviewed poems of the Hungarian poet János Pilinszky, touching upon the concepts of attention, obscurity, purity, grace and many others by a comparative analysis in a special circular way.

L’ile-Enfant, sur le Symbolisme Littéraire de L’insularité

This paper deals with the polysemous notion of ‘island’. Based on the works of Le Clézio, Tournier, Verne and others, we try to discover the most important levels of interpretation one by one. We will conclude that the representation of the character of the child is very similar to an island.

Îlot Textuel et D’Autres Formes de la Représentation du Discours Autre dans un Corpus de Textes de Presse

The paper focuses on the presence of reported speech in journalistic texts. It concentrates on the role of quotation marks as introducers of reported speech elements, marking not only voices different from the author’s one, but also pieces of reference sets that are not his own. Words and segments introduced by quotation marks thus show fragments of foreign discourses and foreign individual and social identities. The distance taken by the journalist from the other people’s words will be examined on a corpus of French journalistic texts.

Effet D’Archipel: Autour de L’Opposition Passé Composé/Passé Simple

This paper deals with the opposition between French
passé composé
and
passé simple
in fictional and some other texts. The author focuses on two questions in relation to the notions of
island/isolation
, namely the function and interpretation of the
passé simple
inserted into a discoursive context, and the use of the
passé composé
as a narrative tense, by commenting examples from Camus, Rousseau and Proust. It is argued that such phenomena are closely connected with psychological distance in the case of the
passé simple
, and with narrative disjunction in the case of the
passé composé
.

Islas Lingüísticas Dentro del Dominio Español: El Caso del Vasco y del Náhuatl

Basque and Nahuatl are special in that they form certain kinds of islands in the Spanish-speaking world. Both languages differ from Spanish: Basque is not an Indo-European language, its origin is unknown; Nahuatl belongs to the Uto-Aztec language family. Basque is an agglutinating, whereas Nahuatl is an incorporating language. Both live in a close coexistence with Spanish, which is one of the most common spoken languages in the world. In spite of this co-existence with the dominant Spanish language and culture for centuries, Basque-and Nahuatl-speaking minorities have preserved their identity and vitality. This paper intends to give a brief overview of Basque and Nahuatl, linguistic policy, as well as literature in these two languages

This paper provides an analysis of metaphoric utterances from a Relevance Theoretic point of view. We propose that only a theory which includes the concept of contextual effects is able to explain, in an exhaustive way, how publicity manages to capture the targeted customer’s attention to make them buy the promoted product.

Sobre los Contenidos Gramaticales en el Aula de Lengua Extranjera

The role of grammar in the foreign language classroom has been widely questioned in language teaching methodology. The positions have oscillated between those who have rejected the possibility of including grammar contents and those that have used grammar like a kernel of the learning process. The work that we present here is based on two fundamental ideas: (1) grammar must be understood like an instrument for learning, and (2) the concept of descriptive grammar must be replaced by the one of pedagogical grammar, directed to complete the assimilation of linguistic contents as a vehicle of communication. We develop a new proposal for teaching grammar that will have to contribute to the definitive location of grammar contents in the process of learning a foreign language.
