The essay is close-reading selected songs by the singer-songwriter and film musician Randy Newman as social constructions of the American dream and the American reality since the 1930s.

Ce numéro de Tracés interroge le rapport entre le jeu et la notion de matérialité, prise dans une acception large qui intègre les matériaux de confection, les objets, les interfaces et infrastructures, ainsi que les dimensions corporelles indissociables du jeu. Différentes formes de jeu pourront être étudiées sous cet angle, qu’il s’agisse de jeux d’argent, de jeux de société, de jeux de plateau, de jeux de rôle ou de jeux vidéo, entre autres. Les auteurs sont invités à explorer le rôle de la matérialité dans l’activité et le cadre du jeu, dans ses dimensions industrielles, politiques, économiques ou juridiques, dans ses dimensions esthétiques ou symboliques, ou au travers des finalités « non ludiques » parfois assignées aux jeux.

Date limite d’envoi des contributions : 15 juin 2014 (les auteurs devront auparavant avoir informé le comité de rédaction de leur projet de contribution).
