Eine kleine Ergänzung zum Beitrag über die Fingerabdruckkarte von Marcell Frydmann-Prawy, die Objekt des Monats Dezember der Wienbibliothek ist.
Ich bin auf eine Illustration gestoßen, die die Klassifikation der Abdrücke sehr anschaulich macht – und gleichzeitig die Komplexität des Verfahrens verdeutlicht. Bei Marcell Frydmann-Prawy wurden an allen Fingern Wirbelmuster erkannt, was zur Klassifizierung 32/32 führte, die sog. “Primary Classification”:
