Reminder: What metadata do literary studies need? Survey!

4. September 2023 Keine Kommentare

The NFDI consortium Text+, the DFG priority program Computational Literary Studies, and the EU project CLS-Infra have jointly created a survey on criteria for the creation of literary text corpora or collections. https://survey.academiccloud.de/index.php/916873?lang=en

logos survey

The aim of this survey is to ask all researchers who create (digital) literary corpora or collections what information they need and consider for compilation. It takes about ten minutes to complete and we will close the survey by the end of September.

DARIAH Code Sprint 2019, Berlin 24.-26.9.2019: Registration open

20. Juni 2019 Keine Kommentare

You are invited to join the DARIAH Code Sprint 2019! It is an opportunity to bring together interested developers and DH-affiliated people, not only from the wide DARIAH community. For this purpose we would like to cordially invite you to spend three days in Berlin working on topics related to bibliographical metadata. The registration is now open and can be found here.

Although this is already our second DARIAH code sprint it is not exclusively addressed to participants of the first code sprint. Everyone is welcome! An affiliation to coding in the Digital Humanities or general in technological discussions would although be helpful.

The code sprint will take place from September 24th to September 26th 2019 in Berlin in a relaxed and productive environment.

DARIAH Code Sprint on Bibliographical Metadata, Berlin: 31.07.-02.08.2018

2. Juli 2018 Keine Kommentare

The DARIAH Code Sprint aims to bring together DH software engineers from all DARIAH members and the community beyond. For this event, we cordially invite you to join us in Berlin for three days of hacking on one of our four topics.

Code Sprint Venue: IBI Berlin

Objectives

The first three topics revolve around „Bibliographical metadata: Citations and References„. The tracks range from extracting metadata from PDFs onwards to managing bibliographical collections by BibSonomy as well as to work on various aspects of visualisation of the generated data. Finally we will have a more infrastructural oriented track on Authentication and Authorisation with the DARIAH AAI. The code sprint will take place from July 31st to August 2nd in the premises of the Humboldt University Berlin in a relaxed and productive environment.

The code sprint is organised by the DESIR project (DARIAH ERIC Sustainability Refined), an offspring of DARIAH-EU.
