An der Berlin-Brandenburgischen Akademie der Wissenschaften (BBAW) sind momentan zwei Stellen für studentische Mitarbeiter*innen (m/w/d) ausgeschrieben, u. a. mit Aufgaben im Bereich des Aufbaus und der Pflege historischer Korpora. Projektkontexte sind die BMBF-geförderten Projekte „Zentrum für digitale Lexikographie der deutschen Sprache – Aufbauphase“ (ZDL) sowie CLARIAH-DE.

SHK im Umfang von 41 Stunden/Monat,
zunächst befristet für mindestens sechs Monate,
die Vergütung erfolgt nach TV Stud II Berlin,

You are invited to join the DARIAH Code Sprint 2019! It is an opportunity to bring together interested developers and DH-affiliated people, not only from the wide DARIAH community. For this purpose we would like to cordially invite you to spend three days in Berlin working on topics related to bibliographical metadata. The registration is now open and can be found here.

Although this is already our second DARIAH code sprint it is not exclusively addressed to participants of the first code sprint. Everyone is welcome! An affiliation to coding in the Digital Humanities or general in technological discussions would although be helpful.

The code sprint will take place from September 24^th to September 26^th 2019 in Berlin in a relaxed and productive environment.

Call for Applications for the third Distant Reading Training School: Budapest, 23-25 September 2019

The COST Action Distant Reading for European Literary History is issuing a Call for Applications for its third Training School, hosted by the Centre for Digital Humanities – Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest from September 23 to 25, and co-located with the DH_Budapest 2019 conference.

Note that participation is free of charge! Applicants may apply for one of the grants for participation in one of the 3 parallel tracks:

TRACK 1: Corpus design and text contribution for ELTeC
TRACK 2: Natural Language Processing for Distant Reading
TRACK 3: Canonization in Distant Reading Research
